The Artist

I am a picture taker, dog lover, coffee drinker, adventure seeking human.

My photography business was essentially born out of an experience I had while I was in college. While all of my classmates were into high fashion beauty photography, I brought a little 10 year old girl into the studio. As I photographed her, she began opening up her personality and having fun. I realized I was having fun too and loved our interaction and the photos that came out of it. I realized it was the essence of my own photography style.

I am passionate about capturing personalities, who they are right now. I love to help high school seniors feel comfortable in front of the camera, for 16-17 year old girls to feel beautiful. In a society where social media can shape our view of ourselves and shake our self-esteem, I try to connect and really show that pictures don’t have to be perfect, they just have to be you. Inner beauty changes you.

Many seniors over the year have told me that it was a life changing experience. I’ve had home coming queens tell me that they rarely feel beautiful, but that they did the day of their photo session. I’ve had extremely shy girls that end up having fun in front of the camera and posing like a model.

I love it. People are my passion. Photos can be beautiful, but what is really beautiful is the person in front of me.

The Business Guy

Hi, my name is Randy and I am Rachel’s husband. My job is to do all the left brain stuff like books, taxes, web design, pricing, gear research. I also moonlight as Rachel’s part time sherpa. My goal is that my wife becomes so successful that I can fulfill my true calling as a trophy husband. In the meantime, I work as an actuary.

The Resident Therapist

My name is Ren, which is short for Karen since I often bark at the neighbors. I have a very important role in this business. I take Rachel for walks when she is burned out. I also alert when packages arrive and keep away potential burglars.

But my most important job is that I am a therapy dog. I am very good at cuddling and knowing when someone needs me. I sometimes go to the studio to help Rachel with ordering appointments. If I could talk, I could tell you what to order too, but mostly I am there when people get overwhelmed because I am a good dog.
